A grocery chain is warning shoppers to be wary of masks, face masks and face-washing wipes as they prepare for Halloween.
The Canadian Grocers Association said on Twitter it was concerned that some customers may be allergic to certain types of masks.
Gap said it is trying to get people to wash their hands, face and heads in order to avoid skin reactions.
The group also says consumers should take the time to wash off the mask and wash their face before wearing them.
“This is not something that should be done on Halloween, not in the first place,” the association said.
“There’s no reason to be rash about it, and if you are, you should definitely avoid wearing it.”
