SiriusXM, a global maker of televisions, monitors and other consumer electronics, said on Monday it plans to unveil new smart TVs at its monday event.
The company said it plans a range of high-end models in 2019.
“We have seen the momentum of smart TVs as a whole, and with the right partners, we can now begin to develop products that are the next generation for smart TVs,” said Neil Gulledge, chairman and chief executive officer of Sirius.
“I’m delighted to welcome you to the company.”
Sirius will unveil the first of the new smart TV models, a 12-inch Smart TV 5, at its MWC 2019 event in March 2019.
It plans to introduce the new models in the third quarter of 2019.
The TV 5 comes with a 5K screen, a quad-core processor, an AMD Radeon Vega processor, 32GB of storage and HDMI output.
It also has a 10-inch screen with a resolution of 2,560×1,440.
The 12- and 15-inch models come with a 4K screen with an input lag of 1ms and support up to 4K Ultra HD resolution.
The new models also support up two HDMI ports, a USB-C port, a wireless-ac adaptor, a built-in microphone and a 5.1-channel sound system.
Gulledged also said the company will introduce an HDR10 (high dynamic range) TV that uses a projector for the brightest picture possible, a feature that will come standard with its upcoming models.
The HDR10 TV is expected to be launched in the second half of 2019, and will feature a 12.3-inch curved screen and 4K resolution.
It is expected that the TV 5 will cost about $5,000, and that the 12- or 15-incher will be priced at $5,-600.
The current TV 5 models are expected to have a refresh rate of 60 frames per second.
In 2019, Sirius also plans to launch two new smart speakers, a pair of 8-inch soundbars, a 5-foot speaker, a 7-inch speaker and a 3-foot speakers.
The companies also said it will be introducing a new smart home device, which will feature built- in speaker, remote and LED lighting.
The speaker will include a built in microphone, and the remote will feature integrated WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Gaudens is also expected to announce that a new line of smart appliances will be launching in 2019, including a home security system and a smart heating system.
Sirius is also expanding its portfolio of consumer electronics products, including the TV 4 and Smart TV 4+.
The TV 4 is expected in 2019 to be priced around $4,000 and has a 1080p resolution.
Golledge also said that the company plans to add a range the company is calling “new range” devices, which it calls the “premium range” of devices.
The devices will come with built-up antennas and a wireless charging system.
The “premier range” includes devices like a speaker, an Ethernet port, HDMI input, a Bluetooth port, wireless charging, a remote and an infrared sensor.
The device range will be limited to five devices.
“In the next couple of years, we will be expanding the range of the products,” Gullledge said.
